The actress and Club 808 presenter born Boitumelo Thulo took to her Instagram page to announce to her one million followers that she has been called by her ancestors to serve as a traditional healer.
The 26-year-old TV personality posted a photo of herself grinning happily in traditional ancestral clothing and described her journey writing:
“They Called. I Answered. The proudest, most incredible day of my life. A Beautiful Gift that I will never take for granted. #ThokozaGogo #KgosigadiDabulamanzi
This new development is coming just weeks after reports emerged that Boitumelo Thulo had heeded a call from her ancestors to be a Sangoma (traditional healer) as the actress has now confirmed her calling, describing it as a beautiful gift that ‘I will never take for granted.’
It was reported in the South African media platform, Sunday World that Boity had told friends that she had accepted the call and had completed her training to become a traditional healer.
“Yes I did go thwasa but I’m not going to practice as a sangoma. This is a very sensitive matter that I don’t want to talk about in the media. It’s a personal matter and way too deep to be reduced into a celebrity gossip in the newspaper. It’s a secret. It’s so much deeper,” the paper quoted Boity as saying.
