The source reports that the Red Devils are ready to pay £28 million plus add-ons for Henrik Mkhitaryan, who Borussia Dortmund value at £31m.
The player has informed his club he won’t be extending his contract beyond June 2017, when it is scheduled to expire and he remains determined to force through a move to United.
His agent disclosed: “He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation. We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.”
The 27-year-old was one of the best players for Dortmund last season, helping them to second place in the Bundesliga and the German Cup final, scoring 23 goals and adding 32 assists in all competitions.
